5 out of 5 stars NEEDED TO PLAY GAMES FROM JAPAN   June 2, 2008

THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT ALLOWED MY SON TO PLAY THE NARUTO GAME HE BOUGHT FROM JAPAN. A MUST HAVE

1 out of 5 stars DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. NOT LISCENSED BY NINT.   May 4, 2008

First of all my gamecube works perfectly. It's been checked out by 2 different businesses. All I can tell you is to call Nintendo and tell them what you want to buy and go from there. If it works for you youre lucky.
I spent over $140.00 for 2 games from a company based in Hawaii for Xmas for my son. IN NO WAY did it say I needed a 'freeloader' during the transaction. Both games are japanese game and will not work on my sons gamecube.
Nintendo DS games made in Japan work on my son's DS BTW.
Buyer beware.

5 out of 5 stars FreeLoader rocks!   April 5, 2008

Now I can gladly import NTSC and Japanese games and play them on my PAL GCN, this is a must have for a GCN or Wii console owner that would like to play games that are released in certain countries only.

It is so simple:

1. pop the FreeLoader disc
2. turn on GCN/Wii console
3. Wait until instructions on screen tell you to load the game
4. Swap with imported game
5. Game loads up and away you go.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Freeloder Disc   February 13, 2008
What can I say? This is an easy to use freeloader that does just what it promises. For imported gamecube games, you can't be wrong by using this!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome and Highly Recommended!   November 2, 2007
The Freeloader is an awesome disc that allows you to play imported GC games on your US Gamecube or Wii consoles (as long as you don't update the Wii firmware to 3.0). If there is any Japanese or European GC games you ever wanted to play that where never released in USA, this is your chance! Just make sure you also buy a new Memory Card because you cannot save JP game saves on a card along with US game saves (I believe the US saves will get deleted). All in all, this was an awesome purchase! I highly recommend getting this if you want to play any imported GC games on your GC or Wii (confirmed that Freeloader US version 1.06b works on a 2.2 firmwared Wii).

AND BTW, the freeloader will only work on older model Gamecubes (the one that can use the component cables). If your GC does not have the digital port on the back (you will see 2 video ports if you DO have the digital port), then this will not work.

So basically, if this freeloader does not work for you, you either have a 3.0+ firmwared Wii or a newer model Gamecube.
