I'm going to be honest with you,i purchased this game for 2 reasons.
1. The premise behind the plot that i read in a review (via an Amazon.com review) peaked my intrest. In this day and age of computer gaming (which is barely a GENRE compared to the rise and domination of CONSOLE gaming,MANY OF YOU PROUD BUT DISILLUSSIONED PC GAMERS ARE HOLDING ON TO A SUB-CULTURE OF DAYS LONG GONE.I mean let's face it, why spend a GIZZILION DOLLARS TO UPGRADE A PC WHEN CONSOLES ARE $300.00 AND YOU CAN JUST PLUG & PLAY. NO OVER-HYPED AND OVER-EXPENSIVE DO-DADS TO BUY(UNLESS YOU'RE RICH OR JUST A MORON TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH THE JONE'S).But i digress, for the price, which was reason #2 ($4.43 w/shipping & handeling),you do the math,was an excellent deal.
Here are my honest ratings:
Graphics-4.0-(not the best,but not bad..)
Story-3.5 (because it's a unique spin on your typical 'Superior Alien race conquering the galaxy....boring).Too many games out there force you to buy a $600 Video Card and the stories usually amount to about $0.06 worth of thought).
If you're looking for an 'Unreal' type of game, FORGET IT.
If you're the type of gamer who wants to take a chance on something different ( and you don't let your buddies choose which games you should play or own-for that matter), then give this game a shot. Go into it without "HUGE" expectations and you'll be very suprised. Hey you may even re-discover the definition of the lost art of "PLAYING A GAME BECAUSE IT'S FUN".
For the price, you're really not losing much.......

I got this game really cheap off amazon and played it to see what this type of game would be like and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!Get the game NOW and play it 24/7!!!! I loved the plot and the idea of this medieval/post apocalyptic world. Get the game, play it, and dont worry about the M rating if you're not allowed to play M games I don't know why. Maybe cause you battle Satans minions. But this game is good for ages 10-99999. Younger people probably shouldn't play and older people should die already.

Okay. First off all, I love online multiplayer games. So I got this game because it looked preaty cool. It's Not! You can't play online. The game does include 10 multiplayer maps for deathmatch and capture the flag but there are no active servers to play online. The single player is worth a try... The problem is when you play there are lots of weird glitches. If you really want to try this game why don't you just download the demo at http://www.ferrago.com/downloads/file/119 If you want online action stick with the awsome Tribes series

What a wonderful,fun, game!The story is awesome,and the music and voice acting is superb.The graphics are also very good but are not as good as some other highly rated games.The action is intense and I love the whole respawn thing{you dont die and have to restart the level again}.The levels are not that hard{though a few are}and are very interesting.I play many top-rated games on nearly every game system and can truthfully say that Apocalyptica is one of the best and most enjoyable games i have ever played.I forgot to mention the wonderful artwork and interesting background stories portraying each of the characters.Just awsome!I cant understand why there are so many negative reviews of this game.Could it be the fact that you are playing a Christian warrior,fighting for the cause of the LORD.Many gamers and reviewers have a bias against anything Christian.If it doesnt glorify Satan they want no part of it.As a Christian,this game is a breath of fresh air!
